IN LLESSUI MUSEUM OF THE SHEPHERDS

The Museum of the Shepherds of the Àssua Valley, after a short presentation of the characteristics of the valley (the shepherds and the sheep) explains in depth the different tasks that the shepherds have to carry out during the year. The aim of the organisations behind the museum is that it should not just be an exhibition room for objects and information panels, but that it should become a dynamic project for the village of Llessui and the whole valley.

The idea is to turn the centre into a kind of theme park that devotes a lot of attention to remembering the way of working and living of the shepherds of years gone by, but without forgetting the evolution that has also taken place recently and the changes brought about by new technologies: satellite tracking tools, mobile telephones, mechanised shearing, etc.

Would you like to know the meaning of words like croca, ubla or amorriar?
Come on a guided tour of the Shepherds' Museum and the villages of Llessui and Bernui. We will delve into the exciting world of the shepherds, although somewhat unknown.
