PERAMEA MEDIEVAL VILLAGE
Peramea and l'Era d'Ortega.
Peramea shows the most characteristic urban features of what could be described as a medieval enclosed village, a type of grouped and compact settlement, closed in on itself, in which the walls of the houses themselves act as walls. Testimony to this medieval origin are the gates leading to the town, its urban fabric, the ruins of the castle and the tower of Colomers.
The village was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1985. Within the village you can also visit the Era de Ortega (information and visits 973662053 or 630887939), an old agricultural and livestock production area recovered and restored by the Grup Cultural "Lo Vent de Port", where exhibitions are held, guided tours and educational workshops are offered. Near the village you can also visit the Mosquera dolmen and the Sant Cristòfol fountain, as well as go on several hiking routes.
