ISIL BEAR MUSEUM

House of the Bear of the Pyrenees.

 

It is an interpretation centre located in Isil (Pallars Sobirà) that allows us to learn about the brown bear and its life in the Catalan Pyrenees. Located in Casa Sastre in Isil, it has become the first interpretation centre about this animal in Catalonia. The original structure of the house has been preserved and, in addition, a very innovative advertising space has been created.

 

There is an exhibition with interactive modules that explain various aspects of the life of bears in the Pyrenees, their relationship with people and conservation efforts. This information in the exhibition can be complemented with guided itineraries that start in the space itself and that will allow visitors to get to know the habitat of these animals. The centre also offers temporary exhibitions directly linked to the territory, the projection of documentaries in the mini cinema about the Pyrenean bear and a shop with products related to the Pyrenean bear.
