The Diputación de Lleida, through the Tourist Board, wants to promote and stimulate hiking activity in all the Lleida counties. With this objective, the Tourist Board has published the Hiking Guide of the Pyrenees and the Lands of Lleida with the title "Step by step". The publication date of the guide coincides with the creation of the Professional Hiking Association of the Pyrenees and Lands of Lleida, which has had the support of the Provincial Tourist Board.
The new hiking guide incorporates 26 different routes, two per region, and separated into the geographical areas of the Pyrenees and Lands of Lleida. Each route includes the region through which it runs, a map, its graphic altimetry and a brief description, places of interest, as well as some pictograms with information on the duration, the accumulated difference in altitude, the distance, the difficulty, the starting point and the time of the year. The guide is adapted to new technologies. With the activation of the route in the GPS and through a QR code, it will be possible to follow the route in real time through the mobile. The maps and GPS tracks that carry the QR code are adapted to Android mobiles, iPhone and tablets.
The crossings included in the new guide in the regions of the Pyrenees are the following: Camino de Ansovell and Ruta del Corb, in Alt Urgell; Water Path and Romanesque Route 1, in Alta Ribagorça; Route of the Lakes of La Pera and Pico del Moixeró, in Cerdanya; Rus Path and Mont-rebei Gorge, in Pallars Jussà; Walk around Lake Montcortès and the enchanted forest and along the paths of Las Voces del Pamano 1, in Pallars Sobirà; the Mare de la Font-Castellvell and the Route from Sant Serni del Grau to the Sanctuary of Lord, in the Solsonès, and finally the Carlac Beech Forest Route and the Route of the 7 Colomèrs Lakes, in the Val d'Aran.

12,000 copies of the Hiking Guide to the Pyrenees and Lands of Lleida have been published in six languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Dutch and German).
