The stations of La Molina, Vall de Núria, Port Ainé, Espot and Vallter 2000, renew their smartphone application

The applications of the tourist destinations of the FGC Group for smartphones and tablets have been reinforced this year by the group's commitment to new technologies. This season the applications add new updates and services to offer visitors all the information about each season. FGC has worked to generate an application that is useful and easy to use. The applications have the same format to reinforce the FGC Group brand. Each app provides the same functions under the same environment, with adaptations to the particularities and needs of each season.

Through a simple registration, the applications allow the user to store different information about their activity in any of the five stations. The home screen of the applications shows a summary of the user's activity in addition to the last hour on the status of the station and the weather. From the application menu you can access different sections that show updated information in real time.

Currently, the applications of the FGC group stations, which premiered in January 2013, have been installed by 9,000 people on their mobile devices, and it is expected that by the end of the season there will be more than 15,000 downloads. In this sense, the applications are used about 15 times on average by each user, to date they have exceeded 400,000 visits.

You can see the status of the resort's slopes, those open and closed, their level, which lifts are open and the thickness of the snow. There are different webcams of the station from where you can see images of the station in real time. In another of the sections we can see a list of the activities offered by each destination, positioning on the route map and help on how to get there. The applications offer the possibility of recording the routes of each one via GPS and even making reservations at hotels and restaurants. One of the peculiarities of the La Molina app is that it allows you to buy passes from the application itself.

Social and security factor.

The applications also provide users with an important social component, since they allow users to share information and chat with other users who are in the same station or in another. The activities carried out can be recorded, located on the map of the station and shared on social networks and even be able to see the position of friends or relatives.

Security also has an important presence in the applications, offering the possibility of making emergency calls while simultaneously providing the specific coordinates where the user is to facilitate their location. It also provides direct access to call the station emergency service.

The stations also offer the possibility of looking at the summer activities that take place in the station: the routes that can be done by bicycle or on foot and activities such as ponies, tubbys and chair lifts in summer. We can also see the weather, the webcams, link it to social networks and make reservations.
