| The Catalan Slalom Cup will be the first competitive activity today
Given that 50 years are not celebrated every day, the inaugural act, yesterday in Sort, of the Ral li Internacional Noguera Pallaresa, was carried out by a look at this half century of life that fulfills, with this edition, the classic appointment of the Pallars Sobirà . The opening of the Ral·li took place in the Sort Regional Tourism Office, which is hosting an exhibition that recalls these 50 years of activity until October 13. Two pioneers did not miss the event, such as Eliseu Gairí and Vicenç Morea, who were present at the first edition, together with participants from various eras.
The act, presented by the actress Ivana Miño, featured talks by Carme Maria Marugán, director of the Pallars Sobirà Regional Archive; Guillem Puras, president of the AE Pallars; Patrick Torrent, deputy director of the Catalan Tourist Board; Xavier Pont (Deputation); Enric Cobo (General Archives Coordination) and the mayor of Sort, Llàtzer Sibís.
After the speeches, a part of the audiovisual was projected that can be seen in the exhibition, which is divided into two large blocks and has already been visited by some 200 people, and the event concluded with a musical performance by the Bridges Trio group.
Today the first of the competitions of the extensive program prepared, the Catalan Cup of Slalom, in the absolute category, which will have the participation of about 150 paddlers, will be held. The Ral·li will end on the 27th.
